Production blog

Welcome back to my blog. I haven’t recorded since last time so this blog will be mainly about what happened at the mall. It wasn’t fair of me to not go into detail about what happened. Working with these ladies was fun the first time. Working with them this time was funnier since we had to act. Since we’re in a pandemic and have to wear make it helped cover up our mistakes a little. In some clips we started laughing and making faces but the fact we had to wear mask to stay safe saved the clips. Watching them stumble over lines and trying to ignore the camera made the experience so fun. None of us will be on Hollywood anytime soon. The mall wasn’t really packed yet it also felt as if everyone was walking in and out them doors. Which caused us to move from one entrance to a another one. For starters remembering lines to the T is way harder than it looks. Now I understand why most actors say their scenes were improvised during the movies. So the script and what we are saying won’t be exactly the same. However our lines will have the same effect since the lines are similar. We had to also improvise the clip of us walking. Even though it was writing in the story board thats not exactly how we planned on doing it . Everything else on the storyboard remained the same though. We worried that the sound wouldn’t be loud enough but turns out it was okay. We didn’t have to reshoot any videos. Now our biggest problems is hoping the clips are the right size. By size i mean length since it all needs to be two minutes long. We probably should of thought about that and planned it out before just filming. Our mis-en-cen also was also good. Our costumes made sense with the location. The location made sense and flowed with the script and the lighting also was great. Our props also matched and made sense. For starters our bags and phones in our hands made sense since we were at the mall and we needed to call Sydney. The mask was more of something that’s second nature in our lives now, we didn’t even have to plan to wear it. That’s all for today. Au revoir.
