 Heyy guys. Editing a video with an app that continuously shuts off is very nerve wracking. From my last assignment where I had to edit a video, I learned that videos should not be waited till last minute to be edited. During my editing process clip champ restarted several times. The website would buffer freeze and all and all had problems. Once I started editing I realized I strayed away from my story board. I was so engrossed in what I was filming and failed to realize that when filming the last few shots of  the scenes on the track I didn’t change the angle the last two shots on the track. I planned to go reshot those clips on November first, but the actors were unable to come to the shoot. So I decided to not worry too much about it since it was only one clip that was not following the original plan. Once I added all my clips and transitions I came across a dilemma. The commercial was longer than the 30 seconds maximum I was given to follow. I realized that once recording I recorded a clip that was 35 seconds long! I just knew that I had a long editing process ahead of me. I tried to trim little bits of clips that I didn't think were important. The commercial was still too long. I realized no amount of trimming will make this video reach 30 seconds. I came up with the solution of cutting out 2 clips that weren't really important to the commercial. So yes, I did stray away from my storyboard. Another thing i learned/ had to get creative about was the audio. Since I didn't see an option to just insert music onto my video I had to get creative. I screen recorded a video with my choice of audio playing. I then, layered it onto my previous clips but made sure that it's sound was playing while the visuals I wanted playing were what was being seen. Ever assignment I learn something new, hopefully I can continue in that pattern.

  Welcome back to our next and final genre research movie. The movie we chose was All the Bright Places.     The first thing we noticed about the opening sequence was the location since they were on a bridge.     The viewers can automatically assume that the bridge has some meaning to one of the main characters since she was standing on it. We want our location to have importance to the opening scene. We want people to be able to guess that the location holds an importance but not exactly what’s going to happen just by seeing the location. Viewers don’t learn the true meaning of the location in the opening sequence however they do learn the meaning of it by the first 10 minutes. Since we’ll only be filming the opening scene we will show the true meaning at the end. The opening scene only was at one location. Planning Blog: Commercial

Hey guys, I'm back with another blog. I plan on showing two different story lines. One story line will follow 2 track stars whereas the second storyline will be about swimmers. The actors for the track portion of the commercial will be seen on the track for majority of the shoot. They will be seen interacting before running and seen running.  However there will be a clip where they are seen at the store buying the product, Gatorade, after they are done racing. These actors will be wearing tights, leggings, or gym shorts paired with a t-shirt. If their hair is long it will either be put in a ponytail or wearing a headband so the hair could be out their face. The swimming clips will only take place in a pool. These actors will be wearing bathing suits, swimming caps and they maybe wearing swimming goggles. On October 22, 2020, I started my research.  Welcome back to my blog. All the fun and exciting parts and things are done. Only thing left now is for Saint to add the finish editing touches and getting it peer reviewed. From what I’ve seen the movie doesn’t seem choppy. The clips bounce smoothly from one to another. The sound also lined up nicely and it didn’t look like we were stuttering or anything. I hope Saint doesn’t realize anything wrong with our clips. If she does find mistakes I hope they sent big ones. If they’re small ones we have enough time to fix them or leave them as they are. If they’re big ones I work everyday this week except Monday. Hopefully she finds the mistake before then so we’d have enough time to either come together and fix it or enough time for us to fix it separately at home. I’m already starting to think of the next step, the CCR. Writing them out has already been hard enough. I feel as if making them into a video will only make the task much harder.
