Heyy guys, you've been with me throughout the whole journey it's only right you get to see the finished product. I present to you my Gatorade commercial. If you scroll to the bottom boom there it is. Since this was my first time having to do a commercial by myself I'm extremely proud of myself. This isn't only my first time making a commercial, it's my first time creating any type of video by going the whole nine yards by myself. Yes, I'm proud, however I can admit there is room for a lot of improve. For starters my hands were extremely shaky while filming. Next time I'll try to calm my hand or buy something to hold the phone. On my storyboard next time, I won't try and fit so much ideas into one video. As someone who had soo many ideas, I tried to put them all in. I just need to remember that less is sometimes more. Some clips that were in my original storyboard had to be cut out. Yes, I know many spots drink commercials include several sports, however, if I were to redo this assignment I'd only focus on one sport. I wish I also had a more defined location when it was time to film. Since I had to change my planned location the day of filming. I learned how to add background music to my projects. Adding the rocky theme song was a very last minute decision. Next time I'll make sure to plan every detail ahead of time including the audio.

  Welcome back to our next and final genre research movie. The movie we chose was All the Bright Places.     The first thing we noticed about the opening sequence was the location since they were on a bridge.     The viewers can automatically assume that the bridge has some meaning to one of the main characters since she was standing on it. We want our location to have importance to the opening scene. We want people to be able to guess that the location holds an importance but not exactly what’s going to happen just by seeing the location. Viewers don’t learn the true meaning of the location in the opening sequence however they do learn the meaning of it by the first 10 minutes. Since we’ll only be filming the opening scene we will show the true meaning at the end. The opening scene only was at one location. Genre research: Black Panther

  Welcome back to my blog. These next few blogs will be about movies my group and I chos e to research and use to build our opening scene on.   The first  movie we chose was Black Panther. The first thing that the audience  hears is a child and their parent voice.  The story turned out to be the  background  story  of where the dad is from Wakanda. Which  leads the movie to a sandbox  type  of thing that  demonstrated  and drawn out everything the dad was saying as he was saying it.  Once the story was done being told, the year and place of the Movie was displayed on the scree n, 1992  California.  During this  the audience can clearly see the relationship between the characters. Genre Research: Drama

  Linked above is my Genre project from earlier this year. In that  project, I  went through and explained the most common things  you'll  notice in a drama. For example, the most common mis-en-scenes in drama is dull lighting, close ups of characters and long,  high  or low angles. The reason they use these mis-en-scenes is to sell the drama in the scene.  Usually  dramas are intense or have some type of tension. Directors also play around with the camera angles to usually assert dominance onto one character. If there is a scene where a character is being demeaned or something, the director can tilt the camera down to make it seem as if the character doing the demeaning feels more superior. It also helps the audience feel how the character feels. It allows you to feel how small and unimportant they can feel through the scene. Sub genres of drama were also covered in the PowerPoint.
